GYROTONIC® PILATES Equipment

The innovative line of GYROTONIC® equipment is crafted with high quality, commercial grade materials and is designed according to the exacting standards of Juliu Horvath, who is still actively creating, improving and expanding on existing designs. Jului often affectionately refers to the equipment as “The Instruments”.

The GYROTONIC®  Pulley Tower Combination Unit was the first unit of GYROTONIC® equipment to be sold to the public. In 1991, Horvath introduced a line of specialized equipment- The Jumping Stretching Board, the Archway, the Leg Extension Unit, and the GYROTONER® . Each unit of specialized equipment has its own unique features and functions, providing an extensive range of exercise options.

The world’s first 3-in-1 marriage of the essential Pilates equipment–Reformer, Cadillac and Mat System, features a folding and rolling design for easy storage. The PPS Deluxe Reformer is the most versatile and innovative piece of portable Pilates equipment. The PPS Deluxe combines three essential pieces of equipment, the Reformer, Cadillac (Tower End) and Mat, into one compact, space saving unit. One person can easily fold and roll to store with out removing any parts. The PPS machine is constructed of the highest quality, commercial grade materials and is engineered for utmost performance and durability.

The GYROTONIC® Pulley Tower Combination Unit is the result of over thirty years of research and development, and is the most widely used piece of GYROTONIC® Equipment. The  pulley tower provides smooth, even support and resistance via a unique, weighted pulley system. The adjustable bench and rotating handle unit can be customized to fit the individual proportions, and movement capacities of each user. The design of the equipment supports the full, and natural range of motion of the joints, allowing for three-dimensional, functional movement, and eliminating the sharp starts and stops where most injury occurs.

Discover the Movement That Moves You

GYROTONIC® Method

GYROTONIC® classes are designed to take the body beyond its current limitations. People come out of a GYROTONIC® class with increased freedom of movement, greater strength, and more agility. Athletes improve performance. Rehabilitation clients recover quicker, and more fully post injury.

GYROKINESIS® Method

The GYROKINESIS® Method is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method, which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.

PILATES Method

PILATES is a type of mind-body exercise developed in the early 20th century by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates, after whom it was named. PILATES originally called his method "Contrology" and presented his method as the art of controlled movements, which should look and feel like a workout (not a therapy) when properly done.

Ever think of transforming your body, I mean really transforming your body, from the inside out on a cellular level as well as a muscular one? As a retired woman 65 next month who has been exercising for years, yoga of all types, PILATES, reformer, Zumba, I can tell you that although I didn’t expect that, and I wasn’t promised that, I have noticed a difference in my posture, body awareness, and even confidence since I have been working with Deborah Saparoff.

I had heard of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® in San Diego where I spent the winter. New to Massachusetts, I joined some meetups based on my interest, fitness, Italian, theatre, are, and I found Deborah. It is a 28 mile ride each way and worth the drive and the energy. When you look at Deborah, right before your eyes you have a model of balance, grace, and form.

When she models the very difference spiraling techniques and breathing, one opens up gradually, which is evident in one’s added range of motion and the “feeling” of greater space and height.

I always say after a session, I feel like a million bucks! It is truly powerful work! I recommend Deborah Saparoff unequivocally as an inspirational master teacher.

I have scoliosis, with kyphosis and deep lordosis. My back used to be hunched and in constant chronic pain. As a result I had very limited range of motion and an injury in my left shoulder due to lack of proper muscular strength/support. There was very little that physical therapy and other conventional therapeutic methods had done and could still do. As a result my best course of action had become massage therapy weekly to alleviate some of the deepest pain I was experiencing.

Since I was introduced to GYROTONIC®, about seven years ago, despite my mature age (I was 70 years old at the time) my body became a process of slow but deep/consistent transformation. I remember that since the very first lesson with Deborah, I felt the benefits. ! no longer suffer back pain, I am able to move my spine with control and deep support. I enjoy movement again and a sense of freedom and ease that practicing the GYROTONIC® Method brings to my life. I am 77 years young now!

I got so much out of the training you provided me. The experience was unique in my life – I literally learned new ways of moving and consequently new ways of being. It was  GYROTONIC® itself, your amazing skill and the joy you clearly exude in your work. I think the training has given me a lasting benefit for example we are doing a lot of hiking and I am free of the back aches that used to plague me from that sort of thing before. Wanted to say thank you.

Multiple sclerosis has altered my life in many ways, and while there are a plethora of negative symptoms of the disease, I am lucky to have been introduced to Deborah Saparoff and her GYROTONIC® exercise regimen. Specifically designed for people who have experienced the negative physical effects of injuries, diseases, etc., the exercises that Deborah has introduced me to with the GYROTONIC® system have had a positive impact on my life.
